Getting from Narita or Haneda to Tokyo Disney Resort

Both Tokyo airports connect well to Disney Resort, but the best option depends on how much luggage you have, whether you arrive late, and how stressful you find Japanese train transfers. Here is an honest comparison, with time and price in both yen and USD.

Option 1: Airport Limousine BusBest for most travelers

From Narita Airport

Time: 70–90 minPrice: JPY 2,300 / approx. USD 15Kids (6–11): JPY 1,150

Direct bus from all three Narita terminals to Tokyo Disney Resort (stops at all Disney Hotels, Official Hotels, and Bayside Station). No transfers, luggage goes under the bus. Runs roughly every 20–40 minutes from about 07:00 to 22:30.

How to use: Tickets on sale at the Airport Limousine counter in Arrivals — look for the orange sign. Can also buy online at limousinebus.co.jp (English).

From Haneda Airport

Time: 35–50 minPrice: JPY 1,000 / approx. USD 7Kids (6–11): JPY 500

Haneda is much closer. Bus goes direct to the resort hotels. Runs roughly every 30–60 minutes. This is the single cheapest AND easiest option from Haneda for almost anyone.

Option 2: Train (JR / Keisei Skyliner)

Narita: Narita Express (N'EX) + JR Keiyo Line

Time: 85–100 minPrice: JPY 3,300 / approx. USD 22

N'EX runs direct from Narita to Tokyo Station in ~60 min. Transfer inside Tokyo Station to the JR Keiyo Line (free transfer, same JR system). Keiyo Line to Maihama Station in ~15 min. From Maihama it is a 5-minute walk to the parks.

Good if: You want assigned seats, reliable Wi-Fi, and don't mind one transfer. JR Pass holders pay only the Keiyo Line supplement.

Watch out for: The Keiyo Line platform is a genuinely long walk inside Tokyo Station — allow 10–15 minutes for the transfer.

Narita: Keisei Skyliner + JR

Time: 90–110 minPrice: JPY 2,800 / approx. USD 19

Skyliner from Narita to Nippori (fastest train from Narita to central Tokyo at 36 min), then JR Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station, then JR Keiyo Line to Maihama. Two transfers. Cheaper than N'EX if you don't have a JR Pass.

Haneda: Monorail + JR Keiyo Line

Time: 55–70 minPrice: JPY 700 / approx. USD 5

Technically the cheapest option from Haneda, but it involves the Monorail to Hamamatsucho, then JR Yamanote to Tokyo Station, then JR Keiyo Line to Maihama. Two transfers and a lot of stairs with luggage. Only recommended for light travelers.

Option 3: Taxi

Japanese taxis are safe, metered, and credit-card accepting. Drivers usually speak limited English, but showing the hotel name in Japanese (or the destination "東京ディズニーリゾート / Tokyo Disney Resort") on your phone handles it fine. Whisk Taxi, GO app, and Uber are available at both airports.

Going back to the airport

All routes run in reverse. A few things to remember:

Suica / Pasmo IC card: Buy one at any airport train station and tap through every train and bus in Tokyo. It also works at convenience stores and most restaurants inside Tokyo Disney Resort. Apple Pay / Google Wallet users can load a Suica digitally before you fly.
