Tokyo Disney Tickets in 2026: Types, Prices & How to Buy
Tokyo Disney Resort uses demand-based pricing and date-specific tickets. This page explains every ticket option in plain English, with prices in both Japanese yen and approximate US dollars, and tells you where to actually buy them without running into Japan-only payment systems.
Ticket types and prices (2026)
Each ticket is valid at either Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea, not both, unless specifically labeled as a Park Hopper or 2-Day+ Passport. Prices below are ranges because Tokyo Disney uses daily variable pricing — the exact amount depends on the date you pick.
| Ticket | Adult (18+) | Approx. USD | What it gets you |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Day Passport | JPY 7,900–10,900 | USD 53–73 | One full day, one park. |
| Early Entry (10:30 AM) | JPY 7,400–10,400 | USD 49–69 | Enter from 10:30 AM, one park. |
| Late Entry (12:00 PM) | JPY 6,900–9,900 | USD 46–66 | Enter from noon, one park. |
| Early Evening (weekdays, 3 PM) | JPY 4,500–6,200 | USD 30–41 | Weekdays only. Enter from 3 PM. |
| Weeknight (weekdays, 5 PM) | JPY 2,700–4,200 | USD 18–28 | Weekdays only. Enter from 5 PM. Best value per hour. |
| 2-Day Passport | JPY 14,400–19,800 | USD 96–132 | One day at TDL, one day at TDS. Day 3+ unlocks hopping. |
Child (ages 4–11) tickets are roughly 60% of adult, Junior (ages 12–17) about 85%. Children aged 3 and under are free.
Which ticket should a foreign visitor buy?
- First-time visitor, 1 day only: 1-Day Passport to Tokyo DisneySea. It is the park you cannot experience anywhere else in the world.
- First-time visitor, 2+ days: 2-Day Passport (TDS on Day 1, TDL on Day 2, or the reverse).
- Layover / evening only: Weeknight ticket on a weekday is excellent value if your flight leaves the next morning.
- Big family, budget-sensitive: Pick a low-price date first (check the crowd calendar), then buy 1-Day Passports for that day. Cheap dates are usually also less crowded.
Where foreign visitors actually buy tickets
Affiliate disclosure: TDR+ may earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Prices are the same as buying direct.
1. Official website (also recommended)
reserve.tokyodisneyresort.jp is the official English purchase site. Accepts major international credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX). You receive a QR code by email that scans directly at the gate — no paper ticket needed.
Create an account first, then pick a date. Tickets for popular dates go on sale approximately 2 months in advance and sell out fast for weekends, Japanese holidays, and event days.
2. Official Tokyo Disney Resort App
The app (iOS and Android, English supported) can also buy tickets and stores your QR code. Install it before you land — it is the same tool you will use for ride wait times, mobile food orders, and Disney Premier Access (paid line-skip).
3. Japanese travel agencies and convenience stores
Lawson, 7-Eleven, and Family Mart kiosks sell tickets, but the menus are often Japanese-only and you will need to pay in cash or with a Japanese-issued card. Usable for residents, not recommended for first-time visitors from abroad.
4. Hotel packages
Disney Hotels and Official Hotels often include ticket-guaranteed plans. If you are staying on property, book the hotel-and-ticket package directly — tickets are guaranteed even when general sale is sold out.
Disney Premier Access (DPA) — the paid line-skip
DPA is an optional in-app purchase (around JPY 1,500–2,500 / USD 10–17 per ride) that lets you skip the standby line for select headline attractions. You can only book one DPA at a time, and they sell out during the day. Buy the first one as soon as you enter the park at opening.
DPA is particularly worth it at Tokyo DisneySea for Soaring, Fantasy Springs attractions, and Tower of Terror on busy days.
Where to save money
- Go on weekdays. Pricing drops to the JPY 7,900 / USD 53 floor on the quietest days.
- Avoid Japanese school holidays — GW (late Apr to early May), summer break (late Jul to Aug), winter break (late Dec to early Jan).
- The 2-Day Passport saves about JPY 2,000 (USD 13) vs. two separate 1-Day tickets.
- Evening tickets (3 PM or 5 PM) are genuinely great if you accept the shorter window — nighttime shows and illumination are still covered.
What about Fast Pass / Lightning Lane equivalents?
Tokyo does not have a US-style free Lightning Lane system. Your line-management tools are:
- Standby Pass — free, time-window entry for certain rides and shops. Book in the app.
- 40th Anniversary Priority Pass — currently free in-app pass for select attractions (subject to change; check the app on the day).
- Disney Premier Access (DPA) — paid, per-ride, in-app.
- Single Rider — available on a few rides, drastically cuts wait times if you're OK splitting from your group.
